Summary: Provides administrative and technical support to the Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment Office and the Learning & Technology team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as central point of contact and first level support for IRPA/L&T clients.
Quickly triages issues and directs individuals to appropriate resources (e.g., information, staff, offices). Interacts with faculty, staff and students professionally and diplomatically. Able to quickly gauge and provide personalized service/assistance at the technical level required by individual faculty, staff, and students.
Assists with creation and management of content contained on IRPA/L&T intranet pages, including SharePoint and other campus web environments.
Creates and manages overall events calendars for IRPA/Learning & Technology, including but not limited to meetings, workshops, etc. Provides support for training events and workshops including but not limited to event registration, management, coordination with caterers/hosts, correspondence and reminders; attendee registration, check-in, follow-up after events, as well as other details to ensure event success.
Coordinates all budget processes and analyses, including student payroll, for IRPA and L&T initiatives/responsibilities.
Provides support for data entry, records management, survey development and distribution, report writing and data collection for IRPA and L&T initiatives. Performs basic quantitative analyses of data using Excel or other software as requested.
Assists IRPA and L&T staff with travel arrangements for professional development and office business activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities: May directly supervise student workers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include evaluating student staffing levels; interviewing, hiring, and training student employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining student employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience: High school diploma required; Bachelor s degree preferred; minimum of one to two years technical support/administrative experience in higher education preferred; critical thinking, problem-solving abilities; ability to multitask and prioritize projects; self-directed with effective time management skills: superior organization skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision; data-oriented; excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software required; effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills essential.
