The Senior Accountant Site Operations and Leasing is responsible for performing accounting work required to maintain the general ledger for operational site accounting units and the Company s lease portfolio. Working under the direction of the VP Assistant Controller, the accountant coordinates with site operations, legal, real estate, and other functional teams to accurately record expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the Company. This role will have routine interaction with the internal and external auditors. The individual should be a highly motivated self-starter with review and proofing experience.
Review site operations accounting to ensure compliance with US GAAP, including classification on the balance sheet and income statement.
Responsible for recording monthly ASC 842 lease expense
Maintain the Company s lease portfolio using third-party SaaS software
Research US GAAP accounting treatment and document via a checklist or whitepaper
Work with functional teams to identify new or amended leases
Prepare account rollforwards and reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis
Maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation for monthly and quarterly SOX internal controls
Coordinate between auditors/site operations/corporate& revenue accounting
Participate and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures
Perform other ad hoc projects and requests as required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
Minimum of 4 years' related experience required
Public accounting experience a plus
Advanced excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, sumif formulas, etc.)
Experience with windows-based general ledger system (ie. Oracle)
Hyperion reporting experience (EssBase)
LeaseCalcs or other lease administration software
