Position Summary Direct employees within the Transportation Department insuring proper manpower and equipment utilization, compliance with government regulations and accomplishment of organization goals. Position Responsibilities Direct driver work force identifying problem situations and applying proper disciplinary procedures when necessary. Select and train new drivers as required. Conduct and report thorough investigations of all traffic accidents involving drivers, company equipment, and cargo. Maintain and monitor all drivers qualification files, logs (People Net), load reports and company equipment to insure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Administer an effective Transportation safety program. Pull Random Drug and Alcohol screens for drivers to be in compliance with DOT regulations. Dispatch five days a week. Monitor ABC & CAMS payroll. Perform annual audit of DOT qualification files and motor vehicle reports pertaining to employees driving history. (JJ Keller Encompass Program). Position Requirements Supervisory experience in transportation, and a high school diploma. CDL preferred. Working knowledge of the FMCSRs, union contract; and grammar, standard English usage, punctuation, and spelling.
